Project description
Inspired by my work on the website for Peter Allan Rice, two other artists, Don and Pam MacKenzie from Huntsville, Ontario reached out to me if I would be interested in making them a similar styled website. They sent me some pictures of their artworks and I was blown away by the detail and realism in their nature inspired motifs.
As it came to be, there were a couple of larger challenges for this project to overcome. Firstly, how to combine seamlessly works from these two artists with differing styles and creative techniques, into one coherent website. Secondly, the overall scale of the project, considering how vast their portfolio of artworks is.
Several of Don’s carved wooden sculptures were photographed in 360 degrees and a lot of color grading and rotoscoping images went into publishing all these art pieces on their website.
For me personally this project came to symbolize a whole lot more than just a job as I got to spend a couple of afternoons with these two great friends, capturing them working on their art.
